Supported Living

Smile Care Services Supported Living is based on the principal that our residents with complex social, behavioural and offending behaviours needs will be supported to live in their own accommodation with us, with appropriate flexible support that supports them to live as independently as possible within the community.

Our supported living services place great emphasis on the positive aspect of group living to facilitate positive sustainable change for our residents that equip them throughout their lives. Individuals are assessed and offered a place with an appropriate partner or in a small social group based on age, ability and interpersonal relationships. Care is taken to ensure the mix is conducive to enabling a friendly, safe and relaxing atmosphere and compatibility tools are used to achieve this outcome.

We work in partnership with other professionals to tailor packages of support that promote independence and rehabilitation back into the community in a timely manner. Some of our residents enjoy a long placement with us where it is feasible for this to be the long term plan, others utilise our services and training for short to medium periods of time, nonetheless, all plans are tailored and adjusted to meet the needs of the resident, in partnership with other involved professionals.
